FAQs

Q?

Why is your team uniquely qualified to solve this problem?

A.

We are a group of diverse and internationally experienced business and technology professionals with extensive experience in top corporations with a proven track record of delivering complex solutions. Our founders and advisors have held senior-level positions at companies such as Telefonica, Microsoft, Bell Labs, Motorola, Capgemini, EY, Merrill Lynch, Cisco, Pay Pal, Verizon, Forescout, among others. We believe we have the necessary experience to take this idea to market and the capabilities to scale the business while maximizing the return to our stakeholders.

Q?

Why do we need another talent company?

A.

We are not primarily a talent sourcing organization, we are solutions, talent, and IP marketplace. Talent is one of the resources we plan to provide on the marketplace, which for us is the input to the system of creating solutions.

The main goal of the DSTM is to create and transact solutions, and for that, we need talent. We believe other talent platforms are unfair when it comes to paying talent for the work they do and for us, talent is an asset that allows users to create solutions through the platform.

Upwork and Fiverr are centralized, have high transaction fees, and do not use Smart Contracts to maintain the integrity of the process. Moreover, we approach talent differently by allowing individuals to market their skills for the work they are passionate about performing. We envision the platform abstracting the individual’s talents and skills thereby reducing bias in the determination of contracting talent.

We intend to make human skills abstractable from individuals to easily identify and interact with other systems in the form of a Human Programming Interface (HPI) similar to Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) but focused on the interaction of humans to systems and vice-versa.

Q?

Why a decentralized marketplace?

A.

In a blockchain, decentralization refers to the transfer of control and decision-making from a centralized entity (individual, organization, or group thereof) to a distributed network. Decentralized networks strive to reduce the level of trust that participants must place in one another and deter their ability to exert authority or control over one another in ways that degrade the functionality of the marketplace.

For Nebulai, having a Decentralized Marketplace means that we can allow the users to influence the rules of the platform, making it fairer for everyone participating in it. On top of that, a decentralized platform allows for a more robust infrastructure to protect against failure by a single party and allows for other users and contributors of the platform to improve it as it evolves.

Benefits of decentralization:

  • Provides a trustless environment
  • Improves data reconciliation
  • Reduces points of weakness
  • Optimizes resource distribution

Q?

What does your company do?

A.

We’re working towards connecting companies, investors, solutions providers, and talent in a single decentralized ecosystem where they can transact easily, more efficiently, and securely.

We intend for our Decentralized Solutions & Talent Marketplace (DSTM) to provide a platform for any company to find, commission, and/or contract technology solutions and talent.

Q?

Where do you envision your company in 5 years?

A.

Our vision is that the Nebulai ecosystem will be used by medium to large-sized organizations to procure and contract technology solutions and talent because of its varied pool of technology solutions across emerging technologies and talent from around the world.

Our goal is that solutions providers joining the DSTM will have the ability to publish their solutions/IP and have a way to monetize them without intermediation. Enabling investors with the ability to see emerging technology solution projects and invest in them as they are created.

We hope to provide talent a secure and fair contracting platform where they will be able to find the right job for their skills while getting compensated for the work they do in a way that protects their integrity while allowing for the integration of human skills into other humans and systems.

Q?

Why did you choose this idea?

A.

We are passionate about how technology can impact society. For us, having been in the industry for several years, we have seen the inefficiencies and unfair practices imposed by the big technology players.

We have identified that there are several platforms out there solving individual issues but not a single one that provides a solution for an ecosystem. Our DSTM is an ecosystem for technology and talent contracting and solution generation. Moreover, we believe that currently there is not a single fair and trusted marketplace that focuses on the technology sector. Most marketplaces that exist today are created by the technology vendors or their distributors to transact traditional solutions, not emerging technologies, or help build and monetize new solutions by bringing talent into the picture.

Finally, most marketplaces today are centralized and managed by a single or few organizations thus concentrating the way rules are decided and applied which may not necessarily benefit the participants of the ecosystem. For example, imposing high transaction fees, limitations on joining the platform, arbitrary rules, unfair practices, among others.

Q?

How do you plan to make money?

A.

For our DSTM, we plan to charge a minimum fee for every transaction processed by the Marketplace. Additionally, Nebulai plans to provide:

    • Consulting services
    • Managed services
    • Subscriptions
    • Intellectual property

Offering these to the participants of the marketplace to access premium features in the platform such as data analytics capabilities, prediction and forecasting modeling, reporting, API integration, among others.

Nebulai plans to commission and monetize Technology Solutions or Intellectual Property based on the needs identified from customers transacting in the platform.
